There were some spooky happenings abound at Quan Fa Organic farm last Saturday!
The farm’s Boo!rganic evening treated guests to a night filled with fun, food and a guided night tour around the organic farm. Rumour has it the odd ghost and ghouls were seen lurking in the bushes too!
On arrival, guests were treated to a spine-tingling delicious cup of ‘blood eyeball soup’, which JJ, the farm’s manager soon explained was a delicious combination of beetroot and tomato, with the addition of the odd ‘eyeball’ (quail’s egg with an oozy yolk) for those who wanted it.
If that wasn’t enough our brave visitors got to sample some delicious organically grown roasted pumpkin, which had been carved into tombstone shapes to compliment the spooky theme of the night. This was all washed down with a tasty cup of wheatgrass blended with green tea. Not even the longest dead ghost could argue that JJ’s produce is not only healthy, but also delicious.
After this our frighteningly full guests were treated to a behind-the-scenes peak at JJ’s farm and how his delicious organic fruits and vegetables are grown. Slightly spooked out by the Halloween-inspired organic treats they had, coupled with realistic eyeballs and limbs lying around the farm, the guests treaded around the dimly lit farm gingerly.
The lucky visitors even got to harvest some of their own crops, luckily they didn’t dig too deep though, or who knows what they might have found on this ghostly night!
